1.      Introduction of discipline

Students with this discipline are encouraged to carry out concrete research and exploration in the light of theories of fishery economics and management as well as the current fishery industrial situation in China. The discipline is committed to the following researching areas:

1 Fishery industrial economics: to explore fishery industrial economy theory, economic policy of the optimal management of renewable resources, fishery enterprise behaviors and managing strategies.

2 Fishery administration: to explore fishery laws and regulations of marine economics and fishery administration as well as other related management system.

3 Aquatic product market and policy: on the basis of international trade, marketing and policy science theories, this research area explores the conflicts between aquatic product supply and demand, aquatic product circulation theories and every link of processing and international trade, and its mutual relation with national economic policy, thus to provide scientific resources for the relevant departments to make policy.
